What is the explanation for this board’s apparent love-affair with Cardinal?

  2. Yes, I think the Board should present alternatives to Cardinal this annual meeting and see what is more cost-effective.

[My comment was originally posted yesterday below the topic 'meeting minutes'; I think it belongs here too.]

What was PSG doing back on our property? Cardinal's PSG had been blacklisted by us in early 2008. I see in the 18 March 2010 minutes, however, proof that the relationship was continued between Cardinal's PSG and McLean Hills beyond then. So what's the deal? Solid evidence of shoddy and overpriced maintenance had been presented to the board with photos and testimony from owners more than 2 years ago. More than 2 years ago, the board and Cardinal had announced no more work by PSG here at McLean Hills! How about our concern in reference to the GROSS conflict of interest in having one brother in charge of managing our property and the other brother maintaining it? No wonder we're $77,000.00 over budget, and with 3 months still remaining in this fiscal year! COMPETITIVE BIDDING is one great way to control a budget. What happens to competitive bidding when 2 brothers run the show? Want to see how the home and condo owner liaison reps of the Fairfax County Department of Consumer Protection reacted to such a setup? Ask me for the "Your Community, Your Call" video record of "Kevin in McLean" when the issue was raised ON LIVE TV before this panel of experts from the Fairfax County's Homeowner and Community Association Liaison: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/cable/channel16/your_community.htm.
Shame on board members and fellow unit owners Tim B., Bob A., Michael R., and Dan G. for disrespecting that commitment to stop giving PSG our business. All 4 of you were participants in that process, unlike Tyler W., and I now see the evidence that all 4 of you think nothing of crapping on fellow unit owners who don’t sit on the board. Not one of you is fit for re-election in October.

When you have a good management company, the board does Not have much to do, and therefore, the board should run efficiently. I have found the board and management to be less than visible in the community to provide an a high degree of comfort between owner/tenant and board. There appears to be non-existent meaningful communication. The new parking rules are an example of the disarray and lack of communication between the owners and board. The towing company, hired by the board, believes they can and will supersede the law and common decency in towing cars which are parked in designated areas. These ambiguous areas are not signed appropriately. It is a manner in which the towing company can violate the law without consequence. Where is the advocacy here for the owners of McLean Hills? Who are these board members who represented us in a manner not befitting a board that looks out for owners/renters right to live in a free and safe environment? I will be at the next board meeting, as a concerned owner, in April to discuss the parking debacle, and other issues. If you are an owner/tenant, I encourage you to attend. The perception is, the board is not looking out for our interests, but rather, wasting space, which translates to wasting my hard-earned money. Remember they work for YOU, not themselves.

I'm having a hard time selling and renting my unit bc of this blog. The other condos I've lived in have a Facebook account for residents and we post freely there just with residents or renters. Can you please take down this blog. It's not current and we have a new mgmt company that's been better. I'll help you put up a Facebook page if you need help instead of a blog.page. this blog page isn't the.right vehicle to bring community together. It's really damaging.

I have the same problem you have.

Realtors tell me the FTC blacklisted this place.

    Talk about damaging.

    I feel really trapped.
